Trade show booth games that draw visitors in and capture leads

playvertise brings trade show gamification to any booth: branded games run in the browser on the booth screen, visitors join via QR code and play with their own smartphone as the controller. No app, no download, no custom build. For exhibitors, booth builders and agencies that means more attention at the booth, longer dwell time and leads captured right as people play.

Trade show gamification & booth games
Quick to launch

From idea to live campaign in a few steps

No developers, no custom-made one-offs. Pick a game in the GameHub, brand it and go live in a few hours, including for short-notice trade show appearances, roadshows and live events.

  1. 1

    Choose screen mode

In the GameHub, set the mode first: for trade show booths that is screen mode for digital signage. The game runs on the booth screen and is controlled by smartphone.

  2. 2

Pick a game from the library

Formats with fast rounds and a high-score incentive, from Spin the Wheel through Catch Game to Downhill Ski. For your own mechanics we build custom games.

  3. 3

Match it to brand and booth

Adjust logo, colors, sprites and copy, set the prize pool and win probabilities. Fully white-label, matched to the booth design.

  4. 4

    Configure lead fields

Define lead fields and opt-ins; visitor data is captured right at the booth, GDPR-compliant and built in.

Use cases

Typical use cases

  • Booth activations that make visitors stop

A game on the booth screen gives passers-by a reason to stop. Joining via QR code takes a few seconds, and the booth team gets talking along the way.

    Matching game: Spin the Wheel
  • High-score competitions with a leaderboard

A leaderboard on the screen brings visitors back to the booth across the show day. With timing and multiplayer, Downhill Ski also works for head-to-head duels.

    Matching game: Downhill Ski
  • Lead capture instead of business cards

Lead fields and opt-ins appear right in the play flow. You see the contacts live in the dashboard and export them as CSV after the show.

    Matching game: Quiz
  • For booth builders and agencies

The activation runs white-label and can be resold as part of your own booth offer. Existing booth hardware can usually be reused.

Formats

How you reach your audience

Most games run in both formats: on the big screen with the phone as controller, or entirely in the phone browser, including embedded in your website.

Play DOOH

At the booth: the game runs in screen mode on a monitor, totem or LED wall, and visitors play with their own phone.

Play Mobile & Web

Across the venue and before the show: via link or QR code in the invitation, newsletter or on the flyer, the game runs in the phone browser. At the WeAreDevelopers World Congress, people played this way via QR across the entire venue.

For your event too: the Live Wall

Guests send a photo or a short text via QR code, and the photo appears live on the screen with your brand overlay or as an AI motif. Every post runs through a form with consent.

Why it works

A booth without interaction stays interchangeable. A game gives visitors a reason to stop, increases dwell time and creates natural conversation starters for the booth team. Our references show it works on the show floor: at marke[ding] 2025, around 1,500 visitors played the Landtmann’s Original prize wheel in a single trade show day.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which games work best at a trade show booth?

Formats with short rounds and a clear incentive work best: Spin the Wheel for instant wins, reaction games like Catch Game or Target Shoot for high-score competitions, Downhill Ski for duels with a leaderboard. At Top Hair 2026, the Spin the Wheel game at the FRIPAC-MEDIS booth ran at full capacity across both show days and paid out more than 600 prizes.

Do visitors need an app to play at the booth?

No. The games run in the browser: visitors scan the QR code on the booth screen and control the game with their own smartphone. There is nothing to install, and joining takes a few seconds.

How quickly can a trade show game be ready?

Usually within a few hours. Pick screen mode and a game from the library in the GameHub, configure branding and lead fields in the editor, done. Even short-notice trade show appearances and roadshows can still be set up this way.

What does trade show gamification cost?

For a single trade show of up to a week you pay a flat fee: €1,600 net for an Essential game such as Spin the Wheel or Quiz, with your branding, lead capture and 2 screens in parallel, no monthly license. If you exhibit more often, book a license from €60 a month and reuse the same game at any number of trade shows, roadshows and events. After the term it stays stored for 6 months, so the next show only costs the license. All prices net and excluding graphics, details on our pricing page.

How does lead capture work at the booth?

Lead fields and opt-ins are configured per game and appear right in the play flow, GDPR-compliant and built in. At Top Hair 2026, FRIPAC-MEDIS captured newsletter opt-ins alongside live play this way, without slowing things down at the booth.

What hardware does an interactive trade show booth need?

A screen with a browser is enough, from a simple monitor to a signage totem or an LED wall. The game runs as web content in screen mode and is controlled by smartphone. Existing booth hardware can usually be reused.

Ready to roll out branded games?

playvertise is white-label, GDPR-compliant and quick to go live. Advertising you play, on screen with the smartphone as controller, with no app download at all.
